Project Story
The Mjunction, India’s largest B2B e-commerce company, wants to reimagine & redesign the customer journeys in their e-auction platforms to stay ahead of changing times by improving their experience.
Existing Challenges
Buyers interact with two separate apps. Design is dated. No user analytics data.
Lengthy registration process with many offline activities. Exhaustive form. Auction intimation done manually.
Auction info distributed in PDF. No standard format. Attachment is doc heavy and frequently done offline.
Difficult to reach bidding screen. Look and feel is poor. Buyers needs to accept T&C every time.
EMD refund is slow and opaque. Orders are issued manually. Fund payment occurs offline. Has high TAT.
Poorly integrated with the platform.

Solution
Reduce number of steps and simplify the platform onboarding journey for the buyer.
Reduce friction between user’s mental model by making entire auction bidding experience easy to understand and adopt.
Seamless experience with integrations with backend applications, features and functions.
Design an intuitive platform which is easy to use, displays global standards and carries a modern look and feel
Maintain complete transparency for buyers with proactive communication & intelligent analytics dashboard
Role & Responsibilities
UI Designs ( Registration screens, Dashboards, Live bidding, Document Upload, Intimation screens, Order tracking, Fund Management, Wallet management, Profile Management, Auction Details, EMD management and training module)
Design language system creation including all design components and variants with clear annotations.
Design elements enhancement
Coordinate with cross functional teams ie UX and Dev
Scope of Showcase
The platform consists of many modules and screens. To keep this case study focused and readable, I have included selected journeys and representative screens from the overall system.
Profile Management
Through the profile management feature, users are empowered to oversee and customize their personal profile with mJunction, adjust settings according to their preferences, and control their settings.
Participation Framework
Designing a flexible and guided auction participation experience that adapts to diverse seller requirements.
Auctions are configured at multiple levels, entire auction, selected groups, or individual lots, based on seller agreements. To support this, we designed a modular participation framework that adapts to different rules and conditions.
A guided step-by-step flow helps users select participation type, verify documents, choose lots, and complete EMD payments (wallet or RTGS/NEFT). A pinned action bar keeps key steps visible, while draft saving allows users to finish later. Terms and conditions are placed at the final stage for clear confirmation.
