Bank X, a growing neo-bank, wanted to launch an instant loan feature in their mobile app, giving users a fast, clear, and stress-free way to view and avail small loans without friction or confusion.
how I designed.
One-on-on interviews via video calls and online outreach via Google forms.
Analysis of user inputs along with competitor study.
Mapping the Information Architecture, and crafting low-fidelity wireframes.
Iteration cycles based on feedback and usability insights.

SmartLend is a micro-lending feature within a neo-banking app that gives users quick access to small personal loans. The goal was to design a simple, reassuring, and easy-to-use flow where users can choose the loan amount, duration, and type with confidence.
problem statement.
Many users feel confused or hesitant when exploring loan options in banking apps. My goal was to make the lending experience clear, quick, and trustworthy, especially for first-time or anxious borrowers.
what I learned.
Designing SmartLend taught me that clarity matters more than cleverness. In lending flows, every word, number, and step should cut out uncertainty and build trust.
